Was putting the expiration date on the box not good enough? Was there actually a lawsuit somewhere that got them to start doing this? What’s next, micro-dots and satellite tracking? Ok, I suppose that last one was a rhetorical question.

Edible park > growing your own produce > grocery store. 
Starbucks buying Diedrich?
September 15th, 2006, 18:28 hoursIt’s about time someone put them out of their misery. I can’t think of anything I have ever ordered at a Diedrich that didn’t have a horrible aftertaste (right down to thier cookies). Come to think of it, I don’t remember ever being in a clean Diedrich either. Fighting conformity is often a good thing, but not when it comes to my cup of coffee. I want my mocha made to the same standards no matter where I order it, I want friendly, English-speaking baristas that don’t have a dozen or more piercings, and I want my coffee in a clean shop!
A friend of a friend who works at Diedrich gave us a list of the local shops that are closing. The shop across the street isn’t on that list, so I should have a Starbucks next to me very soon. :)
